About "Copper Route"
After a visit to the Springbok area on the West Coast of South Africa I attempted to capture the mystery of this dry ancient landscape. The soft colours are so captivating and the mining activities of our hardy forefathers are very visible. Fossils are laid down in copper in the rock specimens if one is fortunate to find one!
Lorraine Goss-Ross was a potter for many years before deciding to enrol as a mature student studying Fine Art at the then Natal Technikon.
Lorraine has mounted solo exhibitions and taken part in various local group exhibitions. She also had a work accepted for the 1996 Natal biennale.
