About "Wooden Pieces"

This bowl is made of Kiaat (Pterocarpus) floor blocks glued together and turned. The older houses in South Africa had these wooden floors.

About Lukas Corenelius

I love nature, especially Trees. When I turn a piece of wood into a form, the beauty of nature come to life again, although the tree has died already! From my creation, you can see the marks years of living carved out in the tree, and that becomes part of the new creation. I only use the wood of trees that has died or cut down by someone else.
I like to use every piece of wood, from creating large bowls or platters, or creating a pen from a very small piece.
