About Catharina

I am a self taught artist. I striving to capture atmosphere, tension and drama whilst incorporating a contemplative narrative in my work.

My first creation as a child was the head of a monkey which I sculpted of clay. This early experience of creating something with my hands stayed with me all my life and was my inspiration as I explore the world of art in my later years. I have since moved into creating images on paper and canvas and have explored other mediums including pencil, charcoal, pastels, waters, acrylic and oils.

As part of my services I welcome commissions from architects, interior decorators and private homes. I specialize in Landscape however I have passion for nudes and still life.
