About Maca

Maca de Klerk

Maca is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

I love the work of representasional artists like Richard Schmid; capturing the essence of something without giving all the answers, playing with textures and moods. I do not like to be restricted to only one genre, but peaceful openness and textural simplicity inspires me to capture a scene. The surrounding Northern Cape province with its quiet integrity and endurance offers much beauty to those who look deeper. That may also be the reason I like to paint flowers and women too ;). The process of painting is both a challenge and a never ending source of pleasure in my life.
