I can clearly remember sitting at the kitchen table doing my first oil painting. It was a N'debele woman in a bright red dress.I was 7 years old.I still have that painting, 46 years later.I am staying on a small holding just outside of Johannesburg and will not change it for all the money in the world.I studied fine art at the Jhb Art Foundation and had two exhibitions. One in the middle 1990's and then another one in 1999.Both were very successful.I sometimes do go through very quiet spells with not a drop of inspiration. And then suddenly from deep inside of me I can feel the built up of inspiration coming. When it explodes I will work like a madman.I like to work in strong bright colors, maybe trying to say that we should very seriously start to believe in the power of our minds and to clear the misconceptions we all grew up with. The time is now for the human race to walk out of their dark caves in which they are still living today, into a bright sunlit world.
