About Janine

Janine is the type of person whom is difficult to forget once you have met this vibrant, larger that life lady. One only has to look at her artwork to see into her soul, she adores the abundance, diversity and hope of the South African people. She expresses the positive rather than the negative with the use of explosive colours, unusual view points and exciting subject matter.

This talented artist has a special interest in performers. She has gained a tremendous respect for the discipline and the passion it takes to perform. Janine has an insight to the circus due to her relationships with members of the Boswell Wilkie Circus. Finding that these people are some of the most positive forces in South Africa; they believe that to be happy is the natural state of the human mind and should thus be encouraged. Janine has taken this message to heart and gains a lot of her inspiration from this notion.

Never one to let life pass her by, this go-getter became a founding member of “The Drawing Room’ art club. The group meets weekly to share & enrich their passion for art, find opportunities to exhibit their works and to expand their knowledge & expertise through attending workshops and demonstrations.

Janine’s work graces the wall of many a Johannesburg Gallery and can be found as far a field as America.
