About Debra

Born in the UK, I achieved an ‘O level in fine art. Only having the opportunity to tap back into my love of art when my children were bigger leaving me more ‘free’ time. I was commissioned to supply paintings for the revamp of a 5 star hotel in Umhlanga, Durban. I am passionate about pots of all shapes and sizes and enjoy to transfer these images as I see them into paintings. I love colour but especially light and shade. Started my painting career with oil but now I prefer the medium of acrylic and ink, but still enjoying the challenge that other mediums present. Have works in Italy, Ascot, England and Johannesburg.

I have exhibited in various venues collectively with other artists, namely the NSA Gallery, Gateway Theatre of shopping and various private venues. Presented with the "Most Promising Newcomer Award" at the Moag Awards held in Durban recently.
