About "Shadows"

The items contained in the painting are an arrangement in my home and each morning I noticed the shadows cast from the rising sun. The colours, serenity and peace of the elements together with the ever changing light inspired me to depict them on canvas. The sculpture of the ballerina was produced by my mother inlaw, a well known Port Elizabeth sculpyor. The Old Copper and brass Jug was discovered in an antique store in 1974. The flowers keep changing but when the bright crimson ones were displayed - I could,nt help but use them!
