Reference DSC05621 About "The Proud Mother" A proud cow looking after her new born calf as a young girl looks on. The scene has tranquil qualities and interesting shapes adding multi dimensional points of interest. The girl almost voyeuristically studies the scene. Originally my intention was for the girl to pensively look out of the window into a farmyard, but deciding on an interior is symbolic of the comfort of the womb, with the addition of the mother and child. |

Christo Wolmarans studied Graphic Design at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa qualifying in 1985. Thereafter worked in the adverting industry for twenty years where he excelled especially as an illustrator.
