Jenny Strong

You can’t get a name more devoid of pretentiousness than Painting 4. Although a painting, it shows a strong connection to Jenny’s other medium of ceramic and porcelain. Although abstract, the oil has been applied to resemble a ceramic experiment. Areas appear to be magnified views of textures and effects and the Naples yellows and rich reds are subtly contrasted with blues and etched with blacks. The shapes shown are also abstract and are pure observations of form and movement. The works are unique and pleasing to the eye.
