Sannie Slabbert

The greater part of Sannie’s art consists of works inspired by her European travels. She approached her subjects with a realistic eye for detail and perspective, while emphasising colour. Her Gypsy portrait uses colour to create an exotic flavour to her subject. An art teacher herself, Sannie is meticulous about her accuracy in portraying buildings and houses, while her choice of colour adds a lightness and naivety about her work.
