Yummy! Delicious colours with added depth due to the Perspex that the work is painted on. Moon Rising depicts a simple circular abstract moon rising over fields on a black background. The work is distinctly expressionistic and colouristic simplified representation of its subject. The loosely applied bold reds, violets and purples are enhanced by the black background which makes for a stunning piece which I suspect the 2D nature of a computer screen don’t do justice to. This painting has to be seen to be truly appreciated. In other works she leans more towards some sense of realism but her use of colour remains superb.
