In the 60’s Joe Tilson, the British Pop artist, did a photographic work which pictured a huge eye staring at the viewer. Harker has taken this a step further in his work, where the eye looks upward in a penetrating, rebellious, arrogant stare. The humour in the title of this work in pencil stops with the title, as the eye becomes more threatening than knowing. Its beautifully drawn and will is an eclectic piece to add to your collection. Clearly not afraid of working in black and white, this artist’s other works are equally intriguing and skillfully depicted.
