About Glenys

I'm Glenys Hydes, a self-taught South African artist born in 1977 and based in Johannesburg. Creativity has been a constant thread throughout my life. I work across many mediums, but oil paint is where I feel most at home.
My inspiration is drawn from nature, poetry, music, and the depth of my own life experiences and emotions.
I am also an artisanal soap maker.
